Stumbling into Infinity

A new book is released by Art of Living teacher and president, Michael Fischman, “Stumbling into Infinity”. It tells his personal story. It is touching and entertaining and is a valuable account of the early days of Art of Living. Michael is one of the first teachers and has taught many people all over the world. Interestingly, the very first course at our Metuchen center was taught by Michael. check out

Well, a couple of days ago, on the fine Sunday morning of October 10th,  2010 a few Art of Living members attended a Mental Health Association’s Walk for Mental Wellness. The start was a bit cold, I mean literally it was cold and some of us were shivering but our enthusiasm was more than enough for us to keep us warm till the walk.

We setup our booth and greeted many people. Some of them were with other associations (like Life Coaches, Physiatrists Associations of NJ, DBSA, etc.) who do similar work. We then walked with our banner for a 3.1 mile distance with even more enthusiasm and returned to our booth until the prize distribution ceremony.

It seemed like as the day was progressing so was our enthusiasm. It did attract a lot of people to our table. Here are a few pictures from the event.

Here is an article in the Rutgers University newspaper, “The Daily Targum” about the Not Just Yoga student club. There is a need nationally to create stress-free, violence-free college campuses and to address this need the Art of Living has a presence directly on campuses. The Not Just Yoga club is a student club at Rutgers and, as the name suggests, it goes beyond the realm of yoga mats and breathing exercises. Members also volunteer and give back to the community.
